Corruption

people are really interesting

few days ago we’ve had huge protests in Belgrade against Kosovo’s self proclaimed independence

and while my neighbours went to the meeting to protest peacefully (there were like half a million people there) a group of a one or two thousand people split and attacked embassies of countries supporting independence

it was later that I found out that some people took advantage of the anarchy and broke into various shops at the city center stealing branded shoes, shirts etc.

two girls were captured on video doing that, see it here

those two said they didn’t have enough money so that’s why they stole things

in my mind, being poor is not an apology for stealing

and they don’t look poor, one girls has a tattoo on her butt ;)

now, a few days later I’m talking with some friends that would like to get some stuff and not pay for them

and I’m trying to tell them they should respect the law etc. but they don’t care, they just want the thing

it’s the same attitude that those two girls had

and constantly, on the TV, you can hear local politicians saying they’ll fight corruption etc.

most of the young people don’t have morals

and that’s sad, but that’s how things go here

I really have little hope for the future of this nation, as long as most of the people think this way
